Evidence

POSITIVE
  • photo 1: clearly a leather handbag-sized clutch with a framed closure.
  • photo 2: leather and brass-tone frame construction are compatible with older handbags generally.
NEGATIVE
  • photo 1: no visible COACH wordmark, horse-and-carriage, hangtag, or other Coach identifier.
  • photo 1: kisslock-style frame clutch does not match the classic Coach turnlock silhouettes shown in the reference catalog.
  • photo 2: black fabric lining is visible; this is not the typical unlined suede-backed interior of many classic vintage Coach handbags.
  • photo 1 and photo 4: leather has extensive wrinkling, cracking-like surface wear, and visible black marker/sharpie touch-up, as disclosed by the seller.
  • photo 2: the frame and clasp appear generic, with no legible Coach engraving.
  • photo 1-6: no creed patch visible in interior views (photo 2,3)
  • photo 1,5,6: plastic kisslock frame, not solid-brass turnlock / brass hardware
  • photo 2,3: fabric-lined interior, not unlined suede-back glove-tanned leather
  • photo 1-6: no COACH wordmark, horse-and-carriage, or leather hangtag visible
  • photo 1-6: no turnlock present
MISSING INFORMATION
  • photo 2: no creed patch or interior brand label is visible; request a fully emptied interior and close-up of every label or stamp.
  • photo 1: back, bottom, side seams, and any exterior label are not shown.
  • photo 2: request close-ups of all hardware markings, including the small marking near the frame hinge.
  • photo 1: strap or wristlet construction is not shown; confirm whether one is present.
  • photo 2: odor, mold, and functional condition of the clasp cannot be determined from photos.
  • creed patch / interior brand stamp not shown - request straight-on interior wall and pocket photos
  • exterior back, sides and bottom views not shown
  • hardware stamps / Made-in label not shown
AUTHENTICITY CONCERNS
  • ⚠ The visible construction is more consistent with a generic vintage framed clutch than with a Coach handbag.
  • ⚠ No Coach identifier is visible, and the lined kisslock design provides no specific Coach evidence.
  • ⚠ Seller's stated 1950s date is unverified by the photos.
  • ⚠ photo 1,5,6: black plastic kisslock frame inconsistent with 1970s-1990s solid-brass Coach hardware
