Seller's description

Vintage Handmade by CW Brown Stitched Leather Boho Purse Brass Ring Shoulder Bag This vintage brown Italian leather hand stitched shoulder bag is really cool! The leather has a heavy, thick feel to it and has thick stitching, with brass hardware. There is a large brass ring that flips over the top to open the bag. In the front is a good sized pocket for easy to grab items, behind that is the main compartment. Beautiful condition, with slight wear on edges as is expected for leather, but overall in great shape! Please see photos for details and measurements!

Evidence

POSITIVE
  • photo 1: clearly a leather shoulder handbag with substantial brass-tone hardware.
  • photo 1: brown leather, rounded construction, and aged-looking hardware are broadly compatible with vintage leather goods, but not specifically Coach.
  • photo 2: the shoulder strap and side construction appear substantial and handmade-looking.
  • photo 1-5: leather handbag with brass-tone hardware in brown, general population where vintage could hide
  • photo 1-5: soft patinated leather with edge wear consistent with genuine leather age
NEGATIVE
  • photo 1: the oversized circular front ring closure is not a recognizable classic Coach turnlock or catalog silhouette.
  • photo 1: prominent thick contrasting saddle-style stitching and riveted strap attachments are unlike the typical clean, tone-on-tone construction of classic Coach bags.
  • photo 1: no visible Coach wordmark, horse-and-carriage mark, hangtag, or creed patch.
  • photo 3: the back is unbranded and lacks visible Coach identifiers.
  • photo 5: the bag has a broad, padded base and handmade boho construction rather than a clearly identifiable Coach model.
  • listing text: seller identifies the bag as CW Brown Italian leather, not Coach; this is weak but consistent with the visible non-Coach construction.
  • photo 1-6: no COACH wordmark, horse-and-carriage, creed patch, or leather hangtag visible
  • photo 1,6: closure is large brass O-ring looped through flap, not Coach turnlock geometry
  • photo 1-4: coarse exposed saddle-stitching around flap and body edges, not Coach tight matched stitching
  • photo 1-4: silhouette with triangular flap extension and ring closure matches no Coach catalog style
  • photo 2,4: strap attaches via large brass rings with exposed rivets, not Coach dogleash clips or buckle-adjust construction
MISSING INFORMATION
  • photo 6: interior emptied and photographed clearly, including the back wall, slip pocket, and any sewn-in brand or creed patch.
  • photo 7: close-up of any interior or exterior maker label, stamp, or fabric tag.
  • photo 8: complete strap ends, hardware backs, and any hidden markings.
  • photo 9: measurements and a clearer view of the closure mechanism from above.
  • interior views emptied showing lining and any creed patch or fabric labels (photos show exterior only)
  • close-up of any maker stamp, creed patch, or interior pocket tag
  • bottom corners close-up and strap hardware stamps
  • seller-stated dimensions and scale reference
AUTHENTICITY CONCERNS
  • ⚠ photo 1: the large ring-and-flap closure is a generic or maker-specific design, not evidence of Coach manufacture.
  • ⚠ photos 1-6: no Coach identifier is visible across the available exterior views; the construction is more consistent with an independent Italian leather or boho maker.
