Seller's description

Cutie vintage black patent leather purse with unique handle that slides in and out. Two flaps/sections for your items, one zippered interior pocket. She’s not perfect, crack in the leather at the top and some scuffs, see photos. Listing her for a lot less than what I paid due to the flaws, I never used this bag, just had it in storage.

Evidence

POSITIVE
  • photo 1: Clearly a handbag with a structured clutch/purse silhouette, flap sections, and a movable handle.
  • photo 2: Interior shows a textile lining and a small gold-tone snap closure.
  • photo 5: The handle attachment and interior construction are visible, but no Coach-specific identifier is present.
NEGATIVE
  • photo 1: Highly glossy patent-like exterior does not match the typical uncoated glove-tanned leather used in classic vintage Coach handbags.
  • photo 2: Printed floral textile lining is not characteristic of the classic unlined Coach glove-tanned styles.
  • photo 1: No visible Coach wordmark, horse-and-carriage emblem, leather hangtag, or recognizable Coach closure.
  • photo 3: The exterior coating is visibly cracked and separating at the edge.
  • photo 4: Significant edge and corner deterioration is visible.
  • photo 5: Interior fabric and seam areas show fraying, loose material, and wear.
  • photo 1: high-gloss black patent leather, not matte glove-tanned cowhide
  • photo 2: magnetic snap closure, not Coach turnlock geometry
  • photo 2,5,6: black synthetic fabric lining with white leaf print, not unlined suede
  • photo 1: slide-in rigid top handle, not Coach buckle-adjustable strap / dowel handle / dogleash construction
  • photo 1-6: no creed patch, no COACH wordmark, no horse-and-carriage, no hangtag visible
MISSING INFORMATION
  • Straight-on photo of every exterior panel and the back of the bag.
  • Close-up of any interior labels, stamps, zipper pulls, or maker marks.
  • Photo of the bottom and both sides.
  • Full view of the handle mechanism and hardware.
  • Seller-stated dimensions and confirmation of whether the exterior is genuine patent leather or synthetic-coated material.
  • creed patch / interior back wall straight-on view to confirm no Coach creed
  • hangtag both faces if present
  • hardware stamps / zipper brand
  • full bottom and side views for condition
AUTHENTICITY CONCERNS
  • ⚠ No Coach identifier is visible in any provided photo; the construction is more consistent with a generic vintage patent-leather or coated-material purse than a Coach bag.
  • ⚠ The glossy coated exterior, printed lining, and non-Coach-looking snap/handle construction provide no positive evidence of Coach manufacture.
  • ⚠ photo 1-2: high-gloss patent finish with snap closure and printed fabric lining inconsistent with 1970s-1990s Coach glove-tanned unlined turnlock construction
