Seller's description

Vintage black croc texture leather handbag with gold hardware (arched clasp and 4 feet on the bottom). Vintage brand Sterling. Genuine leather. Had in my collection for a couple of years, just never reach for it! Flaws: Handle has some damage but is not rotten through. Brand name is faded on interior leather. Good used condition. Dimensions: 10 1/2" W x 6 1/2" H

Evidence

POSITIVE
  • photo 1: Clearly a structured handbag with a top handle, framed/arched clasp, and bottom feet.
  • photo 2: Gold-tone feet and a textured black exterior are visible.
  • photo 4: Interior construction and red lining are visible.
NEGATIVE
  • photo 1: The silhouette, framed clasp, and reptile-textured exterior do not resemble the documented classic Coach glove-tanned leather styles.
  • photos 1-6: No Coach wordmark, horse-and-carriage, creed patch, or Coach hangtag is visible.
  • photos 2-3: The exterior appears reptile-embossed or textured rather than smooth glove-tanned cowhide typical of many vintage Coach classics.
  • photo 4: Bright red fabric lining and a framed clasp are inconsistent with the usual unlined construction of classic vintage Coach flap bags.
  • photo 5: The handle has substantial surface damage and exposed lighter material.
MISSING INFORMATION
  • A straight-on photo of any interior leather brand patch or faded brand stamp.
  • A close-up of the clasp, hardware, and any zipper or interior markings.
  • A full exterior front and back view, including the bottom and all corners.
  • Seller-stated brand marking is not legible in the provided photos.
AUTHENTICITY CONCERNS
  • ⚠ photo 1: The bag has no visible Coach identifier and appears to be a different vintage handbag brand or a generic textured-leather bag.
  • ⚠ photo 4: The framed clasp and bright red lining do not match the construction profile of the likely vintage Coach models.
  • ⚠ photo 5: Damaged handle material reduces confidence in durability and resale value.
